We got married in July 2017 at the Dreams Tulum Resort and had 130 guests. Dreams Tulum has you work with them starting 3 months before your wedding date to organize wedding details. Two weeks before our wedding, we find out from the wedding coordinator at Dreams that their vendor is not able to accomodate one type of tablecloth or one type of centerpiece for the wedding. It was suggested to us that we chose two types of tablesclothes and two types of centerpieces. We were upset by this as we didn't want to pick out two different things and we were specific from the start how many people we had.
My now husband is a big googler and starting googling companies that would be able to do our decor for our wedding. The first place he found was Maya Floral. Marvin litterly saved our wedding. In two days, Marvin came up with a centerpiece and tablecloth that we loved based on two emails that we sent him to describe what we were looking for.
We paid Marvin. After we paid him, I started looking at his pictures on his site and discovered he did decorating for alters beach parties, both which we were having.
I contacted Marvin again and asked if he would be able to decorate our alter and for our beach party that was 2 days before. He was able to do it at half the cost that Dreams was able to do it. Unfortunately we felt no obligation to Dreams to keep the business with them after they let us down with the decor for our wedding reception.
The decor for our beach party looked like a wedding. People were blown away and so were we. People at the hotel thought it was a wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. The flowers for the altar were beautiful as well. Marvin and his team were able to reuse the flowers from the altar at our cocktail hour which was a big savings and at no additional cost to move them!
The reception hall looked like something out of a magaizne from New York, where we are from. We were blown away at how beautiful the flowers and decor was at our reception.
Maya Floral is a very professional business that sticks to exactly how their pictures look. We were doing everything with Dreams Tulum just because we thought it would be easier to have everything internal so our wedding coordinator could handle issues. Marvin was like our 2nd wedding coordinator and we would recommend him for any type of event you have in Mexico. They are that good.
